You can get King, Fox etc all in a 2" travel as well.
One bad things about Kings is the mounting can. The bump stop can seize inside the can and be almost impossible to get out. I had to cut them out recently and did this by carefully cutting the side of the bump can open without slicing the bump itself.

Foxes and Sway Aways use a side clamp in bump stop can design and are a lot easier to service. I chose King knowing the hassle because of the brand name so to each their own.

    mostly stock
I ran LR jounce shocks on my truck stock and with the TC LT kit before getting bypass shocks and they did their job. Sure they aren't going to match the performance of a bypass shock, but it's better than stock. As far as setting up the bumps goes, or any shock for that matter you have to cycle the suspension (coils removed, let the gas out of the shocks and use a jack to compress the front end). I can give you a short cut on the 05+ with the TC UCA and stock lower, and that is the uniball on the UCA maxes out before your coilover, so set it up to stop the suspension before that happens. The further out on the arm the bump strikes the lower the leverage ratio which will result in a better performing bump. Optimum performance is reached by bumping off of the UCA bolt(1:1), but the spindle will be absorbing the energy so gusset the crap out of it. Also if you have the VSC/ABS crap on the master cylinder it gets in the way of the bump can if you decide to run them up there. To make it easy, build any suspension system at full stuff and you can't go wrong 99% of the time. The stock lower is tough, but weld on a strikeplate over the area the factory gusseted, it's flat and easy to do. If you don't have a welder I have the capability to weld up to 3/4" plate steel out of my taco, I guarantee my welds to never fail and can fab anywhere I can get my truck. If I know you I'll work for beer, and if you can't afford that payment in karma is fine too. If your a douche in a jeep or H2 it's $80 an hour plus $150 service charge in the IE.

You want them as far out as possible and 90* to the LCA at bump wherever there is room. I've gotta cycle my suspension next week for 35's so I can send you pics, but I'm not sure where you have a strike plate on your LCA if that's where you plan on bumping from. Post some details of your kit. Mine is similar to where these are set.

I'll post some pictures this week, I have a Solo kit (not the xlt that is pictured tho) and they set my front up, but I am closer to the strike pad then that, could be because I dont hVe as much preload?

You'll be setting the angle at full bump so ride height doesn't matter - that said if you're really close to the bumps at ride height you'll be spending a lot of your travel on the bump. Zoloft? Does that help you stay calm while mobbing? j/k you mean the 3.5 or xlt solo kit?

Lol, Sorry was writing while pre occupied

Yes I took my truck to Solo to have their regular +3.5 kit,
However ride height, as preload is applied that pushes lca down and away from the bump stop was what I mean (right?). At ride height I am barely off my bump stops on their kit. About .5" or so.
Solo set up by whole front end, so I have faith it is down correctly. I just haven't seen too many front pictures with bump stops at ride height to see how others are set up.
I am running 2x2" bilstein bumps up front.

Didn’t find much at all and this thread kept coming up so thought I’d share my experience. Found a few photos of guys who had done it, and was frustrated with the 3rd gen mounting options compared to the 2nd gen which had done. In the end I had a buddy fabricate an option for me for a reasonable price. I’ll add some pictures of the results. Haven’t done a good desert trip on them yet but they fit nicely. Had them charged with nitrogen today and when at zero compression they barely sit above the lower arm.

@Patolioli that looks like a nice, budget-minded setup. I'm having a hard time understanding your last statement, are you saying that at ride height, they are not contacting the lower a arm?
