Is it just me or is the passenger side brighter than the drivers side??

Legal is great, if that's all you're after.

"Upgraded" light has little value when it isn't directed in usable areas. That's why there is a huge difference in light quality between an HID kit in a halogen reflector and an HID kit in a proper HID projector housing.

The guys who think they're great because oncoming traffic is blinded and they can see the trees lit up above the roadway are interpreting that as high performance, when it's really at the opposite end of the performance spectrum.

I agree with all that your saying. But the thing this is an " Option" for people. I am not saying these are the BEST thing is the world. Again we are testing these.

I get that, I just had an odd response to your "everything is great," reply to how the headlights are working for people. They're brighten than halogens, which is pretty common sense.. but the light scatter is horrendous. To be fair, that's not a problem with your LEDs, that's every LED.

Compounding that with "well they do throw light everywhere, but they're technically legal," was kind of an odd play IMO, from a business perspective.. the product should be legal to begin with, but it should also be effective.

I'd rather hear something like "we're working on a solution to fix or reduce the amount of scatter," as opposed to the previous comment, but that's just me.

The only thing so far that differentiates these bulbs from every other slinger of low quality, short life span LED bulbs is that your brand of LED headlights are new to the market and at a lower price point which seems to be normal for your catalog of items. You posted initially with a single LED, low beam only version which was quickly nixed in favor of a dual beam version, and you added a glare guard to it based on feedback from members who suggested that they were needed. It'd be nice to see a similar response in bettering the existing product in regards to proper utilization of the LED output, and less "well this is how they are, and they're technically legal."

I know you don't manufacture these, but imagine the marketplace change if you (or anybody else) sold an LED headlight kit that was actually better than the other guys versions, not just the same issues with a different name and a different price.

I think it's great you've trickled some out to testers, and to be fair, I haven't been following along at home - but I've only seen the 2 pictures of them, and that tester agreed that scatter was bad - even at that limited distance (6 ft or less).

He posted this shot, also.. which again shows the problem with LED bulbs.

Well, I did give off a band response, but yes that's why we are testing them ,I am looking at what's wrong and trying to improve them I am talking to our manufacturer and seeing if we can improve them in some sorts (scatter). We could of thrown them on the market and wish for the best, but again we are "testing" them. I am doing exactly what you are saying, talking and trying to improve them. Sorry i really didn't make that clear in my response.

Thanks for clarifying.. I'll be interested to see what kind of changes are implemented. Also, comparison shots of the current version (we'll say version 1) and whatever modified version (version 2) when the time comes.

Of course, if you ever want a critical, straight talking reviewer - you know where to find me! ;)
