Well, they're kinda 'meant' to be used for what they're called for. For the ditches. And aimed out to the side to see when offroading. But they do allow to serve as a bit of a multi-role light. So a lot of times they're aimed forward if you're not offroading for additional light down range. Or maybe just simply for looks. A lot of the cheaper and smaller ditch lights don't produce enough additional light down range and maybe they don't off-road either so they go for purely aesthetics purposes.

Thanks for the info! I have been debating getting some to help spot cows on the road/side of the road. We drive through a lot of back road farmland when visiting my wife family. Would speed of 60+ negate the light they put out?

So we offer ditch light combo deals for the brackets and lights together! Our newest pod is our side projecting pods and it allows for a 120 degree view of light. We offer free shipping on all products and no tax! Let me know if you have any questions.

Will these or other side lighting pods fit into my 2012 Caliraised pods?

Sorry I don't understand your question, but if your asking if they will fit in the fog brackets they will not.

Yes, that was my question. Do you currently make any side lighting pods that do? Or will you possibly upgrade more pods in the future to side lighting?

I recently put in some LED fog lights in replace of the old ones. IMG_1159.jpg IMG_1160.jpg
They emit a really cool horizontal beam, not so much a flood.

How to you like those Auer DRLs? I like the idea, but I'm not sure I like the design.

I like them a lot and get many compliments on them
Technically there not Auer or I don't think so anyways. They did come from Amazon same as Auer and they were priced higher. But for some reason I cannon find them on Amazon now and for all I know Auer may have bought them out. They are identical to the Auer in every way except they do not come color matched and must be painted.
They have been installed for about 4 years now and have worked perfectly. They are identical to the ones that the Southern Toyota Dealerships add as part of their EXP package.
What concerns you about the design?

The only thing I don't like is that each LED is in its own little chrome socket. To me it looks, well, cheap. If it had been designed to be recessed and flush with the panel I would like them more.
