im going to give my opinion. I bought the pro when i was actually going to get the OR with prem and Tech. Yes the differences are cosmetic and worth really nothing as far as function with exception to better suspension stock. They were really both the same and both 18s. same basic interior. OR had JBL and Sun Roof and Pro had sport hood, different looking wheels, trd exhaust, Rigid fogs , and shifter knob little different then of couse the fox suspension. MSRP was 42k and some change on the OR and $46k on pro which had couple other options that i could care less about taking the cost up 800. That said out the door between the two was 4k. Now do it think it was worth it to get pro $$ wise for down then road. NO. i liked the color when i saw it and liked the pro grill and sport hood which id probably wanted to swap out anyway. But I think they will both depreciate equally for what you paid and i would say the OR would of been cheaper to run in my opinion but not a whole lot. Looking at it now it would probably be best $$ wise if one would just get the OR and tech pkg only and that would be all over best truck cost wise down the road especially if you are going to mod it a lot. But i dont think it is a big cost difference buying a pro over a loaded tech/prem pkg OR and figured monthly equal miles on both down the road i think it will be about the same cost to operate if both had same miles and left stock. Pro might be slightly more per month but would be close.
I dont get all the this or that. Get the truck you like and all is good . Both are great same as the SR model

    People aren’t smart.
Lifting your truck didnt void your warranty. It voided the warranty on the components affected by the lift. So if you have a cv axle, u-joint, wheel bearing, or suspension component go bad- it won’t be covered under the warranty. None of those things are expensive or hard to replace on your own anyway. So who cares.

For the record, I paid $42,600 for my 2018 Pro in March 2018. The OR I wanted, fully loaded was right at $40,000. I am 100% satisfied with the $2600 extra I paid for my Pro.
People who pay $47-55K for theirs- dumb.

yes. its pretty close to it between a Pro and an OR that comes with the locker. Yeah you get the TRD exhaust and CAI but meh not worth 10K yet. Shift knob and seats are cool but again not really worth the $$. It just doesn't make a lot of sense but if youve got money like that then more power to you, every little bit helps when it comes to the economy

Edit: I paid 36,5 for my TRD sport 4x4 as well

I actually should’ve added that I have 4” lift spindles as well... that plus not quite 2” of life from the coilovers = close to 6” lift.

Edit: to include that does have a lower roofline than my father’s stock tundra

You must not have a 2018- no leather/sunroof/JBL, because MSRP on the 2018 loaded with all that is right up around $40K.

I still don’t get why people say a Pro is $10K more. Lol
    $42,600 for the Pro.
$39,800 for the Off-road loaded with leather, sunroof and JBL.
That’s the offer that was on my plate.
    I chose the Pro.

Only people paying those prices are people paying retail...or buying a pro. What dumbfuck is paying 2k for blacked out headlights? Seriously. Heck a lot of that comes on 18's now anyways.
And I paid 32k for my OR since people are posting that for some reason.

I was in Germany, Denmark, and Sweden summer of 2015 and I saw mostly Nissan Frontiers and F-150s. I only say a couple Tacomas.

Until you wheel on a side hill. I've seen to massively lifted trucks go over on sidelhills. Made some money winching one of them out though.

If someone wants to pay that much for used OEM parts then so be it. But if we are honest, to build a pro from take offs on the web can be done much cheaper than retail was my point. Not to mention that blacked out headlights and leather are available on non pro models now. Finally, someone trying to create a pro clone has the benefit of picking and choosing what pro features they like and want to buy.

It'll never be a pro, so really what does any of it matter anyways?
