I bought this thing on ebay:

It's a little box that has both an aux adapter and a cable plug specifically for an iPod. It has a harness that simply plugs into the back of your factory head unit.

You have to carefully pry out and unplug your climate control block (use a thin screwdriver or knife) to get inside your console.

I cut a hole in my console between my 12V outputs very carefully and painstakingly with a utility knife to fit the box (the box is a weird irregular shape so I traced the outline of the end of the box onto a piece of paper, cut out the paper in the traced shape, and used it as a template on the plastic console for my utility knife cut).

If you cut a hole for it like I did, you have to be careful to feel around inside the console panel (requires skinny fingers to fit back there) with the climate control panel removed. You need to feel for two ribs of plastic and make sure your hole is centered between the ribs. The adapter box is slightly wedge shaped, so cut the hole on the small side and then wedge the box into the hole from the inside of the console to get it to fit snuggly.

I just glued it into my hole with some multi purpose quik bond epoxy. It worked out very nicely and sounds great for both iPod and cell phone. Great for streaming Pandora from your phone (if you have an unlimited data plan):

If you can find away to do it please let me know.

I have an old Molly leg rig that I'm not going to use any more. I'll try something with that this week and see how it turns out. Thanks for the idea.

Too much for TW to know

I believe that my most unique mod is your old triple gauge bezel that I bought from you... or my Coupe shift ball.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I'd paint those washers behind there black, but that looks awesome. A sport hoodscoop would really put it over the top.

I ordered my All Pro bumper unfinished and it didn't come with the plate on the front, so I modified this to fit the mounting holes that it comes with pre-drilled.

Dunno how unique it is, as I've seen people with flags mounted in their beds before, but I've never seen it done quite like this. I just used the tie-downs that fit into the rail, an L-bracket, a 3' section of a 7/16" threaded rod, and some nuts. Two to hold it into the bracket, 2 locked against each other on top of the flag and on bottom to hold the flag in place.

I thought about making more permanent mounts, but I like how easily these slide in and out of the truck. It makes it easy to put them in on game days and take them right back out. Also, with the way I put it together, it is very easy to change the size/type of flag used.

I'm thinking about making these to sell around town since I am in a college town, but I'm not sure how popular they would be. I used a flag I took apart from the window-mounted type flags, since I like them but want to be able to roll my windows down. All said and done, the project was right under $20, so I figure I might be able to charge $30.
