That is one sexy AR, Love the mounting too. I'd be interested in seeing a write up /how to build of the mount if you ever decide to do it

This has got to be the greatest thread ever

    I just came......

....to say that is an awesome mod! And I just jazzed my pants too.

Hey just a thought, If i was someone who say DID notice it, and broke into your truck but couldn't steal it since it is locked down, I just thought if i was some kind of absolute lunatic it wouldn't be hard for me to fire the rounds in that mag say right out the passenger side of your truck. Or maybe ricochet back inside and scare the living piss out of myself. Also, if I have tools on me, I might be able to remove the bolts on either side of the pole.

SO: My suggestion to you sir is a trigger lock and some kind of bolts that require a special tool to get them out or something.

Just sharing my ideas! You're a smart dude and probably already have this figured out but in any case you don't maybe it will help! Great job!

Cool. They sure don't make them like the old all steel body Black & Decker's which are probably still going strong.

And I still like that "TOYOTA" jump sig... pretty cool.

I'm not sure on the mount, but I would think someone could remove the take down and pivot pins and the mag and be able to separate the upper and lower receiver and remove it from the mount. Something to consider. Nice mod though.

    Why is it "not possible"?

Pins look accessible. It appears your lower could be removed without much trouble.

The stock is collapsed as far as it will go and the whole thing is locked into place against the bar as well as against the base bracket in addition to the actual locking mechanism itself. The lower will not simple 'rotate' outward away from the upper receiver. It's not coming out w/o the key or the electric switch.

I posted my reply before I posted that pic on AR15.

The lower could easily be removed.
