That's an awesome idea. I had used one of those mats that you put in your dresser drawers but it looked horrible. I had to read your description to even see what you did in the pic. +1

They don't glow this bright and the blue glow is from a bluemoon beer sign in my garage... I had to hold the shutter open on my camera.

Lol... Thanks man! Actually what happened was I was using some superglue to extend my phone holder (you would just have to see it) and I set the glue down in that little tray. Needless to say some glue came out fucked up that rubber mat that goes there. I cut up the old mouse pad that my daughter spilled something all over and just flipped it upside down and it just worked out perfect.

This is my most unique and my favorite mod that I've done so far. Its not as drastic as that roll over mod, but still pretty cool I think. I have a Prerunner, so no four wheel drive. However, I bought a four wheel drive selector and modified it to be my volume level knob for my sub woofer. :D

That looks great! I've been wanting to add some lights under the heater and AC controls. Is the light distracting at all? Did you hook them into the dash lights so you can dim them with the rest of dash lights?

Do you have a write up for this? That's also a great idea.

Yup. SUPER 4 low! My buddies get in and always ask if the four wheel drive is all the up.

I don't unfortunately. I didn't have a plan when I went into it and I tried doing it a bunch of different ways. I had to gently break a few pieces off from the back of the selector to get it to move freely, rather than between the three positions. Once I was able to make it freely move, I basically used a lot of hot glue, zip ties, and some plumbers tape to attach the original volume knob to the four wheel drive selector. If you're thinking of doing this, PM me and I can give you more details.

Nice! Could be funny for someone that didn't know and to think you are cruising around town with it in 4Lo.
