I decided to have some fun with my 400ex in the snow today. I kept my paddle tires on and went out into the 4-5 inches of snow in my front and back yard. The paddles really worked well and I had a great time. So here are some pictures that my dad shot of me.

i used to run 4x4 quads in the snow, the sport quads dont do any good in more than maybe 6" of snow though. i haven't tried running my paddles on my 450 in the snow though, they might make it do a bit better. On a 4x4 quad with decent tires its possible to run in 2 feet of powder. lots of fun but it can get damn cold if you dont have the right gear on. if you're runnin deep powder you also need to make sure you keep the front clear of snow or the radiator wont get air and you'll start to over heat.

The pics I posted were over 1 ft of snow and in some spots 2 ft. It depends on if the snow has been frozen or if its fresh. The softer the snow the more you dig in. Paddles work good if its all snow. But knobbies are the best if your in a mix of dirt and snow. Been ridin in the white stuff for 20 plus years. Also used to ride on the lakes when they freeze up. the Ice is a blast to ride on. We had a bay of water that would freeze all the way, only about 6 ft deep, so it was solid ice, u can spin donuts for hours on that stuff.
