Thanks for the good info! I will be keeping it in mind when I find one to actually be able to check out. I’m patient, and want a good one, not a piece of crap.

My 2016 Yamaha Wolverine. Great machine. Unfortunately I'm putting it up for sale after only 3 rides and 125 miles due to a work injury. Never even got to use the snow plow. Fun while it lasted.

Brought home this bad boy last night on the cheap! 2016 Honda Foreman 500 4x4 with 214 hours on it. Some cosmetic damage (cracked plastics, broken rear taillight, front bumper pushed in a bit, etc.) but runs like a champ. Will drop in a few hundred more to fix the cosmetic stuff, buy a winch, and get it serviced and gone through...then she’ll be as good as new!

One of my Coot ATVs. Made in the 60's. A fun, quirky antique ATV. 4WD, front and rear axles are driven by a ring and worm gear. Amphibious (not this one, since I have holes in the tubs, but my other one is water-tight). Articulated in the middle to keep all 4 wheels on the ground.

The original models did not corner very well, due to the lack of any differentials. So later models offered the option of 4-wheel steering (this one was converted to 4WS a couple of years ago).

This one looks rough, but runs well.

This one belonged to a friend, fully restored. Shows the articulation:

Hope im not digging up an old thread here but id like some opinions.

I have a 2006 Honda Foreman 500s 4x4 with 5k miles on it. Someone wants to buy it for $3900. Is this a good price? Should I take it and run or could I get more for it?

Depends on if you want to sell it, and the condition of the wheeler. Nada shows an 06 Foreman value at less than the 3900, low retail being $2,225 and average retail $2,930. Those are just guidelines but still a starting point.

I like my quad. But I bought it for 3 grand and like the idea of not losing money on it.

I recently sold my 07 Polaris that I had worked on more times than I wanted to. Then I upgraded to a 2010 Polaris that was in much better shape for just a few hundred bucks more. I guess its personal choice.

I figure it’s a good way to inspect the skid plates and undercarriage.
