    kinda getting out of hand...
Makes sense if you have an injury or if you live in the dunes I guess they could be pretty fun...but where I live riding around here is all track and trails...I don't get why people would ride a quad when they could ride a dirtbike..? IMO bikes are way more fun(at least here). I have to say though..I have seen some quad dune videos and they are pretty sick ;) but i could also say the same for a dirtbike lol

A properly built quad, like mine, can be tons of fun anywhere you ride it. With my built motor and aftermarket suspension it eats hills, jumps, and anything else you throw at it. I've drag raced some bikes(rolling start of course) and my quad will outrun a piped and jetted CRF450 until they hit 5th gear since the bike is geared a little taller.

Next time I hit the dunes I'll try an get some video clips of me on my quad.

For sure bro. Videos are always sick. And ya I would believe it would be on sand and soft stuff depending on tires, rider, etc.. Just around here on trails and smaller, rocky, tighter stuff just never got why someone would bye a quad you know?

I ride a quad because I live in the dunes and I have an injury . What is left of our ATV trails tend to be multi-use trails, I guess you wouldn't want to come around a corner 5th gear pinned and run into the back of a horse, bike, truck, hiker.... I don't ride my quad in the trails but maybe 1 or 2 times a year and it is usually with a group of multiple types of 'vehicles'.
I don't understand why people would ride a dirtbike, but I respect them all the same. I ride with quads, dirtbikes, sandrails, trucks etc. as long as everyone is respecting the land and obeying the rules we can all respect eachother as offroaders.

Bikes...quads...side by sides...its all good! Matter of preference and truth be told if I won the lottery I would have at least one of each. Best part is enjoying the ride with your buddies.

Thanks! The Dasa pipe tested very well against other pipes and Dasa also makes an aftermarket intake that claims to add another 4 HP...we'll see as soon as the UPS man delivers the box. The stock intake is very restrictive and Dasa has reworked the flow and added a larger filter. Of course, now I need to download the revised map for the Power Commander.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
i've had both bikes, and quads and currently have a large utility ATV. there are several advantages a quad has over a dirtbike. first off, i don't have to look for something to lean it up against all the time, it's also much more fun to ride a quad than a bike in the snow/mud, which we have plenty of where i live. a dirtbike is good for one thing...going fast. i can use my quad for business or pleasure. i can hit the trails/mudholes one day, then haul home a deer the next, then trailer mulch around at home the day after that. i don't haqve beef with dirtbikes, i just prefer quads. the guys who are nuts are the dedicated 3-wheeler fans.

Hey OhioTaco - That's some major air! Great pic...looks like fun although I think I wouldn't fair too well on a GNCC prepped machine.
