Nice looking truck! That color with a 6spd is an especially rare find

Definitely a good find! I found that most of the 6spds are access cabs. Took me a while to find a dcsb 6spd, but absolutely worth the wait

my opinion is that 23k for that truck is a bit steep....
it being an sr5 model, had it been an off road or sport with some added factory options I think it could fetch over 20k
they are adding the dealership tax and kinda rare color tax as well.

Make an offer of $20,900 and see what they counter with, I have a son who lives in Madison and it seems to me that things are pretty pricey in that part of the country. BTW it is a good, clean looking truck.

Well for what’s it’s worth I offered $21,200 and they did not bite. They came to $22,600 and that’s it. I walked away. But kept the line of communication open should they reconsider. Thanks to both of you.

you will get more for your money buying private
dealers mark up tacomas like crazy imho
you could have the same year and mileage with a better packaged truck for that money on the private market
don't let them sell you on warranties or any dealership perk its all b.s. and these trucks rarely have any issues

but like i said before, if you are dead set on spruce mica...

I went into many dealerships looking for the exact used taco that I wanted, they all laughed at me saying its impossible unless I order new...

one way ticket to tulsa and I was driving it back home that same day, with the exact truck I was after...

They should be able to come down more than that, hope you can make a deal. Spruce mica is a rare color,I live in a town of about 50,000 and have seen only 1 other S/M and it’s a Tundra.

I have a 2013 sr5 dclb. Minor upgrades, clazzios, 5100 billies on all corners, aftermarket rims. Just hit 60k. Local dealer offered me 25,300 for trade,
I walked cause they wouldn’t come down to what I wanted on a 4Runner. They have a waiting list of local dudes who only want spruce mica trucks. These trucks hold their value like no other.

I just hit 60k on my ‘13 spruce DCSB OR and the dealer offered 19-20k.....it’s in mint condition except for a minor accident (Mercedes-Benz dinged my fender) which was repaired. F that.....gonna drive my Taco into the ground no matter how shiny that T4R Trail was for that kinda of shit trade in.

This thread makes me wish i would’ve gotten spruce mica instead of black. Looks so nice in the sun and almost black in the shade. Awesome color!

My thinking also. It wasn’t that I was upset with my trade value. I was pissed they wouldn’t budge at all on the 4Runner I wanted. My wife has her 2nd rav4 from the dealer, her mom bought 2 rav4 from the dealer, and her dad has a brand new 17 Tacoma. I was there for all the purchases, the dealer knows me well. Owell their loss. Il keep my 13 till the wheels fall off.

Considering all the business that you've brought to that dealership they would have been wise to play ball a little bit if for no other reason than to put some good faith into highly likely future transactions.

Try Car Gurus, you might have to travel a bit but that’s how I located my last 2 Tacoma’s. I drove 365 miles to get one and 400 miles to get the other one.
