I'm digging the pics from you trip out west. I've always been intrigued by ghost towns. Your trip and pics inspire
me to one day load up the Tacoma and head out west with just a map and my dogs.

Thanks. Nevada is loaded with ghost towns. Problem is that the roads are not marked and most are in bad shape. I check google beforehand and make notes and maps to help. Compounding that is there are usually NO cell signals and most of them are free of visitors so breaking down would be fun. I carry lots of food, water and a good sleeping bag, toilet paper!, P1060198.jpg a good shovel, and a gun. If you check my posts from last year you can see other towns. I am attaching a photo from Belmont. It still has people living in the town center but the mines and lots of buildings are just out of the town center. Another thing, when you go out west don't use the interstates. Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, etc. have great roads with lots to see. And drive up Pike's Peak! That is fun. Good Luck. Tim

I like how you painted your pop-up. I might do something along those lines with mine now!

I hit 110 on the Salt Flats but the salt was rough from rain the previous day and night so I back out for safety reason feel it probable good for 120. Tacos are an aerodynamic brick and have to much lift at speed, front end gets light.

I’ve had mine to 113/114

(Before my lift, 295/75r16s, steel bumper and roof rack, doubt I could hit that now)

Tybo ghost town. Tybo isn't far off 6 in Nevada. There are power lines running along the road as there is still mining over on the other side of the mountain. There are open mine entrances and a few people live there too. It has 2 huge "headboards" one up high on the mountain. Easy to get to, close to 375 and Rachel. Ghost towns are done now as I am heading into Vegas to see family. P1060774.jpg P1060793.jpg

When I was a kid my family and I went there to go camping nearly every year. I’ve put probably 100-200 miles of hiking on the trails around Red River, haha. Now I’m planning another camping trip there with the GF, only it’ll be vehicularly based.

pro comp six inch lift, 35 in tires, pro comp skid plate, custom subwoofer box, led interior,
They are probably my favorite upgrade. They really change the look of the 2nd gen. It’s hard to keep up with the newer aesthetics.
