Nice shots, I've been looking at Ozark for a weekend trip. How are the trails as far as limbs and brush? I've got my share of pinstripes but I'm going to buff those out soon and don't want a repeat. Yeah, I need to buy a trail rig.

Thats what I was thinking too, I was thrown off by the motion blur though. I really like how the tires/ground still have motion blur and everything else seems to stay in focus.

That is the point, that’s why I shoot at a lower shutter speed. I think was at 1/20 but I’m not sure. These lake beds are Crazy flat so all I had to do was steer with my knee and snap photos. Super hard to keep a steady hand going 40 mph or so. Some people prefer even slower shutter speed, some faster. I think I took about 400 photos and about 10 were to my liking

That's insane that you managed to not have camera shake at 1/20 and steering with your knees! You must have some steady ass hands

Lol if you take a ton of photos some are bound to turn out. I don’t have the steadiest hands. Ideally, having someone drive you while you shoot would be sweet. I shoot with an a7riii which has built in stabilization. Helps out a bit too

They are. I came from a 5D miii and it was worlds better. I’m still shooting on a tamron 28-75 2.8. I can’t imagine what a g master prime would be like. The a7riii is overkill unless you are planning on making like 6 foot posters.

If you can afford it tho... why not!
I’m still rocking my stock 28-70mm 3.5-5.6. I can’t wait to upgrade to a better lens. It drives me nuts not being able to maintain the Fstop thru the zoom.

Only reason I could “afford” it was because I sold all my canon gear, to include the 24-70 2.8 (which is inanely expensive). The new a7iii is sweet, Ive used it a few times. Check out the tamron 28-75, can’t beat it for the price And half the price of the Sony.

Also, the Sony 85mm 1.8 is a steal for the price too.

Sorry to the people who are only here for photos lol

I enjoy the posts on this thread and am seeing an abundance of roof/bed mounted camping systems......how about this one? And no, sorry I couldn't get a photo of my truck in the background....(I was 8 years old when this was taken.) I am a sucker for a red interior and that shower, well, sign me up.SHORPY-1959-Ford-Country-Squire-pushbutton-camper.jpg

...Now, I'm probably making everything sound a little more dramatic than necessary, but I will say that this trail is probably one of the tougher that I've run from a narrowness-and-body-damage-potential perspective. It is not however a dangerous or scary trail - there's no risk of falling off a cliff as there might be on something like Radical Hill. I can see it being extremely fun in a vehicle that's already a little banged up, where you're less concerned about bumping into things that protrude onto the trail....
