I drive by there about 10-15 times a year, but have never checked it out. How's the camping?

It's great. The campground is generally empty this time of year. They've got pit toilets, and the only negative is the headlights from the semi's on the grade can be seen at night from the campsites. There is a ton of BLM land all around the site where camping is free and no one's around. So close that it is great when time for camping is limited.

@turbobd have any plans been made for reforestation projects public or private for the areas that were lost

None that I know of, though I admittedly don't know the details on this particular location. Much of it is in wilderness, so my hope is that they don't do anything there and just let nature run its course. Cleanup efforts are also still in full effect in the areas I visited - with both heavy machinery and feet on the ground. Later in the trip I made my way through the Dixie Fire aftermath (as in Dixie from this year) and there were places that were still smoldering.

It never gets old coming around a corner or wherever and having a great view in front of you. Love getting out into the mountains, outdoors!
Plus the air smells so good in the mountains!
