Time to light that campfire and warm dinner. Somewhere in Montana.

Was about to crash Friday night when I got an alert on Facebook that the aurora was active. I set up my camera and captured this shot, using my cell phone to light up the truck.

This was in Nebraska... you guys further north would have really had a show.

Awesome pic! And/But: he's quiet, snoozing, and not acting up: Priceless! Everything else is Gravy! Good Dog-Dog!

My son's Lab? Door to the kennel is always open, he goes in it if he wants to, or doesn't want to, when he wants to: Open Door policy: Pushes the cushy bed pad aside and lays down on the hard plastic bottom, on his back, with his legs up in the air, for a two hour nap. Go figure. What are you going to do? Labs are Labs and lucky to have him! Or... Sleeps under my feet where ever I go.... move 20 feet to the family room: over he comes: wash-rinse-repeat. My Lab was the same way: It's an exclusive club they let us join.

A guy I know goes to the Salt every year to spend a week helping out. He's been driving a Metro for twenty years and there is no noticeable rust on it so I asked what his secret is. When he gets home he parks the car in a gravel driveway over a lawn sprinkler, moving it several times, for a full day to wash all the salt off. Just a thought considering the problems the people back east have with their trucks and frame rot.

Salt totally caked ALL OVER the underside of the truck which is why there is no way I will go back out there... I had no idea it would be that bad

I felt like the truck had more in it but the salt was a bit damp and I felt a bit squarely at those speeds

On the way back home we went through some very heavy rains and the water was spraying up off of the road but I'm still going to take it to the spray & wash tomorrow and give it a go
