I just finished up a week long 3K mi road trip, the truck did great.

The trip was a lot of windshield time but I saw some epic places plus some weird and interesting stuff, my kind of road trip.

I have several pictures that look exactly like that. A couple of days earlier and it would have been spectacular.

 

Not scenic but…. Scenic for work anyway.

Last weekend... a delightfully less-visited national park -- so you will understand why I'm keeping the location secret here lol:





But seriously, these 4x4 roads need more traffic to keep them in existence ... good thing my paint was already fucked.

The Great Basin may be my favorite NP just because there are so few people there. I live close to Rocky Mountain NP, but refuse to go back because of the crowds. I was fortunate to see many of the NPs as a kid before the crowds in the 1950s and 1960s. Now you have to wait for permits, wait in line, ride a bus, etc. Not as enjoyable IMO.
Just what you have to do these days for the experience.
