Top of Silver Canyon Rd in the eastern Sierras, just east of Bishop. No pictures from the descent itself because I was too busy white-knuckling it. I'm not all that experienced at off-roading but that was one gnarly drive.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I once lived about a half mile down the beach from there. Tiny little house, right on the beach.

Fantastic pictures of one of my favorite places! Tried to get up earlier in the summer, but the final climb after the bridge was blocked with a couple large rocks and deep snow. Never had another opportunity this year.

    Damn already that much snow!

Do you have any issues with moisture getting into that style tent in the rain/snow months? I ask because I just scored a brand new CVT tent for $500. Thanks!

I haven't had any issues with my tent having water issues, just the normal condensation that happens when sleeping in it.. It stays on 365 as I don't have a garage big enough to store it, but where I live there isn't much snow just lots of rain..

Good to know. I currently live on the dry side of the state but might be relocating back to the west side and will have to deal with lots of rain again.

Can’t wait to throw the cvt on the Tundra!

Yes. Patterned it off a South African companies look. Did the measurements and design work myself. They wanted 18k for their bed. Materials were about 1k (steel and wood etc.), with another 1k in lights from Diode Dynamics. Heavy, but the truck with my daily load out is almost a 50-50 weight split front rear (5900lbs.) Handles like a go-cart!!! Not as pretty either (definitely a 6 footer) but I am not one who cares much as long as it is functional and durable.
