    Some weird stuff went down back there for sure. The old movie "The River's Edge" is based on a true story that happened right there next to Calaveras Reservoir back in the late 70's/ early 80's. There were rumors of an albino colony as well. Another corner on the same road as The Launch Pad, was called Sasquatch for....reasons...
    Most of it was dumb local urban legend passed on from one stoner to another but, the under the radar military presence was for real.

    I read this and immediately thought "Hicks Road, Santa Clara County?" I wonder if that rumor is still going around amongst the grade school kids.
