I'm debating a hawaiian tribal-style half sleeve on my right arm incorporating my japanese family crest.... gonna have a draft designed by an artist friend of mine

how fun are the upper arms/shoulder for getting tattoos? :anonymous:

i have this..pain was ehhhh, got pretty bad once your skin starts turning raw but it's not the worst. as for shoulder, on the very top where it says "saint christopher" kinda hurt, he hit some nerves and it felt like ink was dripping onto my forearm  haha. and my other tattoo is on my shoulder blade on the left side of my back, the upper part didnt hurt to much. i dont remember much of that one, i wasnt worried about that pain as much as the first one :p

right out of the shower about an hour after it was finished. it obviously looks differnt now (no redness) but its 6am here on thanksgiving soooooo im not gettin up haha. :D

i forgot to mention that i did this tattoo in two sessions. this was the first session,

    315919_2242544495399_600874344_n_506a2306bd00d9a84022ccdc97c43052957e5927.jpg

    shading was the second session

    315919_2242544495399_600874344_n_506a2306bd00d9a84022ccdc97c43052957e5927.jpg

then i decided on getting another another about 3 months later. (at the shop when i finished)

    2012-02-04164834_60bb296b24c0ee6b719e4b87cc00b9da0bf711c4.jpg

keep in mind when gettting tattoos, your future employers might not like them being visible. just something to keep into consideration. i want my next one to be more visible since i can cover all these ones up but im still not quite sure.

Arms are not bad until you get to the under side....that gets tender quick. Doing the elbow sucks....no meat, just skin & nerves.

i'll post mine up later. it took me a lonnng time to get the 2 that i have now, so i imagine it will be just as long for me to make up my mind what i want to do next. i have some ideas, but as of right now i can't picture how i'm going to tie it all together. so i've stopped for now lol.

i also wish i was in a different line of work, i would definitely be working on sleeves. i mean, i could but i would have to wear long sleeves to work everyday. boo on that.
