There is not much time left:

The European Union has proposed phasing out gas-powered internal combustion engine vehicles by 2035, part of a sweeping new plan to drastically reduce carbon emissions on the continent.
Outside the EU, the United Kingdom has announced plans to ban the sale of new combustion engine cars by 2030, while California is looking to do the same by 2035.

What a funny thing to say. Since we’re so dependent on oil for everything, you’d think we would want to replace the easiest uses first so we don’t run out for the stuff where it’s much harder to substitute.

If you say so. Seems more like pragmatism to me.

You can use oil products but you want others to stop using ICE.

You should probably learn how words have more than one meaning.

So now you’re going to fall back on me not understanding your ambiguous use of a word? Great. I think we’re done here.

I did tell you "in general, not 'you' directly" and you chose to disregard it, while making a weak attempt to turn it around and question my debating abilities.

And now you're still trying to turn it around because you looked dumb after I said not "you" directly.
You should probably just quit while you're behind.

I don’t actually care if I look dumb on the internet. It doesn’t matter.

Forgive my slowness, I’m still trying to figure out what you’re arguing.

EV is not the only and not even the best option for not using dino oil for private transportation. There are alternative fuels for ICE available right now and they are 100% recyclable. The technology is there, but it is not pushed up because of all the politics and money flowing between deep pockets.

I did! It’s Friday, I’ve been neck deep in source code all week and I’m tired of thinking.

I really wanted to see where hydrogen fuel was going, but even Japan is telling Toyota to do it or move to EV. Seems like it might be good for more weight sensitive applications.
