We don`t get much winter here in Eastern Pa .

I have found floor mats for myself to be a complete waste of time because all the slop gets in there and freezes and thaws all the time.

In summer it goes for being a sponge to almost dry .

This is just from the normal slop I wade around in every day being tracked into the truck

I just cut all the carpet and insulation out a few years ago .

In a few more years I might get around to spraying some bed liner on the floor

I have some Weathertech trim to fit ones and really like them. They are a great place holder till I pony up for the real deal. I picked mine up through work for like $35 for all 4

Reviving this thread. Staying on the topic of first gens

Has anyone tried using just the front
weathertech laser measured floor mats weathertech makes for the xtra cab in a double cab? How does it fit? Is the front portion of the cab really that different between double cab and xtracab models?

I feel like it would be the same. Try looking up a floor pan for the xtra/dbl cab and cross reference the part numbers. Or, just call Toyota/Weathertec.

the Double Cab have vents that run along the center hump past the front seats. the mats would curl a little in this area but if it doesn't bother you then go for it. the pre-molded ones would be noticeable whereas the cut to fit would be OK

Weathertechs for one winter so far, kept the snow/crud in the mats and they weren't slick at all like I've heard some complaints about. So far so good...
