Looking to install a "push-bar,bullbar" on my 2009 DC. Something in black, I don't want to screw with the factory skidplate and hopefully a bolt on:) . Any ideas or picture of your setup? Thanks

Oswego is 100% correct. If you try to push with a bull bar you'll just bend it into your bumper or break it off. Most are just end-mounted at the bottom of the bull bar. Install is very easy and but other than knocking down very light brush in front of your truck, don't expect much protection from a bull bar.

I have a ARB on my DC 07. I'm not sure how much pushing i'd do, but here is a pic for reference.

Thanks for the pictures. This will be purely cosmetic, maybe hoping for alittle front end protection in parking lots:eek: Please keep the suggestions coming.

What are you going for? Looks, adding additional lighting or actual protection?

I have pushed vehicles with an ARB bumper, they have my vote. if you are looking for protection in parking lots, get some sliders too.

What everyone states above. I got rid of mine when I bought the truck. I was able to manually push the bull bar myself against the bumper even after trying to tighten the bolts. You will do more damage against your bumper , especially because it adds inches to the front end that you can't see while parking.

Just please stay away from anything that looks like this:

I've never seen a truck that had one of these, that I didn't think would look better without it.

That would be a bull bar and what I believe the OP is going to put on his truck. Or, as someone else on here described it "Truck Toboggan"!

I have the Westin bar and side steps. The bar is mainly just a place to mount lights...that's about it. These bars are kinda like the hood scoop...not much actual function.

I work with a guy that has this one on his black truck. I always get the impression of Beavis with the underbite.
