    Side tangent, but I've also noticed the NRA and others offer self defense firearm insurance. The thought being that in states like mine without castle laws, if I shoot an intruder in an attempt to protect my family from imminent harm, the intruder somehow still has the right to potentially legally prosecute me or sue me. As morbid as it sounds, insurance can be purchased for your defense as the cost would likely bankrupt most families.
