And I saw someone mention that some kits need to have shims added to them. This kit has shims with it right?

1 degree, a taper is supposed to minimize any vibrations

So supreme on their site that has tapered shims then they have one that has Pinion Alignment Shims.

The pinion aren’t tapered until 2in on the site and the other seem to be tapered at 1.5

can someone explain this to me and recommend which is better?

the one with tapered is 280 and comes with dif drop and all that.

I was going to get the base kit possibly and just add the shims since it looks like everything in the 280 pack isn’t needed

All you really need are the spacers for the front springs, rear blocks and new U Bolts. The diff drop is not needed.
As far as shims are concerned, you may or may not need them. They are used to correct driveline angles that can cause vibrations, you'll have to see how your individual truck reacts to the lift.

Spacers are for show..... I wouldn't put a cheap $200 suspension on a $40k truck!

Come on folks, get the Bilstein 5100 lift, which gives you much bigger, better shocks to do the job!

its supposed to keep the drive train angles as true as possible, i think a 2/1 is fine without but if you were to do maybe a 3/2 it would prolly be a good idea to drop the dif

    What is “bro lean”?

I’m thinking of getting 2/1 spacer block set. Eyeballing 275/70/17 but don’t want to deal with rub. Have you experienced any with 265?
