Got me one of them solar panel thingees :)

    20190722_174850.jpg

Of course, that meant I had to redo my electrical panel in the trailer. Still have the USB and 12v sockets, they're just on the sides above the furnace vents now.

    20190718_185613.jpg

Also rigged up a way to attach an extendable tarp pole to the side of the trailer. The plan is to be able to hang a water bag up high for backcountry showers.

    20190723_190542.jpg

The bottom mount is a bimini end piece for a boat. The top mount is a stainless coat hook on the trailer and another bimini attachment mounted to the pole. The whole things lifts straight up to remove it.

I also permanently mounted a 20a battery charger and added a shore power connection for when it's in the garage. We're still having fun with it :)

We chose this campsite in the Jefferson National Forest because a small murder of crows took flight as we approached along the first road
I jokingly said "look the crows were holding a campsite for us"
    I was right.....

It was a little tricky backing the trailer into the trees.

We set up for rain, and good thing too. Lots of water from the sky tested out our new rain kit.

I love the idea of a teardrop but short of building one myself, the cost is what I consider insane right now. Maybe I’m looking at the wrong ones but starting at $9,000 for what I want and going upwards of $12,000 feels crazy for something I cannot stand-up in.

Just curious, did you build on leaf springs, torsion axle or Timbren?

Given my username, I am sure you can guess that I am part of the VORSHEER Team. And from what I've learned, the guys that started VORSHEER had a similar experience dealing with the owner of Moby1 as did the customers. However, their passion for building off-road trailers lead them to create VORSHEER Off-Road Trailers. They took their over 15 years of combined experience to design the XOC and XOC-R. With other models ready for prototyping.

I invite you to take a look at what we're doing: Instagram or our website

This Tacoma driver just picked up his VORSHEER XOC on Saturday (10/19/2019). Instagram Video

Happy to answer any questions you have about VORSHEER.

    Thanks,
    David

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Check out the for sale section on the site Tearjerkers.net. Might be something in your window.
