    Lots of sail boat fuel
    Air is thinner from protesters. Less resistance for projectiles

    Look into your insurance deductibles or options. Glass guy told me last time some providers now have a separate deductible option for glass. It's possible for some to lower their deductible to 0 and have a minimal increase in their premiums.

    So what you're actually saying is the glass in ok, the trucks we drive though, are bad luck. That explains a lot of things. :spy:

    Had our 2nd gen for 8 years and never had a window crack, chips- but never replaced.
    Bought our 3rd gen and day 2 it got a rock chip and cracked 6 inches;

    I owned a Ford Focus for 5 years. I had to replace the windshield 6 times in 5 years due to rocks. I've had my Tacoma for just over 2 years and replaced it once. Seems to be a little better than the Focus was to me. But individual stats, especially with rocks into windshields is really meaningless as there are so many factors that can change what happens.

    Also, on my Tacoma, the one crack I've had was a nearly fist sized rock that was kicked up by a semi as I was passing it, so I fully expected it to break as soon as I saw it coming.

    Mine had a few bigger hits but isn't cracked yet. However, it is pitted to shit. I do have 25K miles but I don't recall my Outback having such a bad windshield so quickly.

    Its the drivers.

    1st and 2nd gens windshields crack just as easily, if Luddites here knew how to do date specific google searches they'd see its nothing new at all.... what is new is 3rd gen owners seem to be a little special, they LOVE to bitch and moan, never missing an opportunity to feel like victims that have been ripped off by "declining quality" because they "don't deserve this after spending $35k" lol

    Look up old threads its really incredible the stark contrast of response... look up old leaky diff threads you see people responding with SOLUTIONS and explanations no on freaking out about it, look up 3rd gen section... same exact problem only its people circle jerking over who's the bigger victim and how they don't deserve this lol.

    Look up old windshield cracked threads its people explaining that a low angle vertical windshield is more prone to rock strikes and being a subjective data point of one doesn't tell you anything.

    Now its full of people bitching about how it must be declining quality :jerkoff:

    Yeah.
    I don't have any chips yet, but I don't do a ton of highway driving. When I do, I do not follow closely and use the middle lane when there is one. I find that people wandering to the sides of the road, where most of the debris is, is when rocks get kicked up. People are looking at their phones more, so wandering is happening more.

    I wonder if the longer front end does anything aerodynamically different than 2nd gens.
