Soooooo....before i break my rig on ebay I am going to ask this question.
I want to do a lift/level on my 09 taco. I was looking a the kits that have a 3" front spacers and 2" rear blocks. I know it will need to be aligned after and I am planning on changing out my stock rims for a set with a +1 offset.

    Questions:
    Will this break stuff?
Do I HAVE TO change my rear shocks? I figure they can extend to full droop when the truck is lifted so I should be fine with 3".

I don't go wheeling...I just got it. I want to do a lift do you think the 3" would be too much then? Should I stay with a 2 up front?

Personally, I'd recommend buying front coil overs if you want 3" of lift up front. I personally hate spacers, but other people like them. Regardless of what you choose, you will need to get aftermarket UCA's for any lift 2" or more.

I just went out and measured from the ground up to the bottom of my fenders. I measured centerline of the wheels for both. My front measured 36.5" and the rear measured 37". I really don't have a rake on my truck. If you guys think that is a fair way to asses the level of the rig, I will go with a 2"/2" kit. :)
