Hey guys, I just got a 2022 TRD off-road and was wanting to put a level on the truck. Didn't know what other brands of level there is out there and the best hight to get on the front vs. the rear. Also, the best tire size with the level so at full flex won't rub off-road.

I used to have another Gen 3 taco but that one got totaled :(. That one had a 3" front and 2" rear level with 275/65/18s. I loved the look but thought the ride was too stiff.

I know the shocks on the off-road are a lot better so maybe it will be better this time. Just was thinking about going a tad smaller on the level but am going to put tires when the one I got from the dealership run out. Currently, they are the TRD 16" wheels with wrangler A/T. I'll put some photos of the new and old taco.

Wanting to try and get that same look and good tires for off-roading. Would appreciate recommendations and pictures for examples too!

IMO I would stay with the TRD 16's and not go back to 18's if you do a lot of offroading. Other than that pick the lift you like and search lift and tire fit as there are many threads on it with lots of pictures and then you may still be confused on what you want.

Appreciate the response. Yeah I was thinking about sticking with the 16 inch wheels since they are nice already and nothing wrong with them. Just wanted to figure out the best tire size to go for.

What size tire do you have on there right now?

And it looks like central FL in the background.

I don't think anyone makes lift kits for Tacomas, you might need to find a buddy who knows how to weld and can fab something up for you.

I just installed 1” spacers on my stock wheels/tires but will be having a 2/1 spacer lift installed soon. Then I’ll go slightly larger on the tires too (265/70/17s instead of the stock 265/65/17s). Everyone has their personal preferences but to me, the 2/1 lift just makes the Tacoma sit so nice. Subtle but noticeable
