So I had the dealer stock level the front about 2 inches and one inch in the back. I threw some 285/70/17s on it.

I don't know if I'm paranoid or if I was used to the smootb stock ride and tires, but it feels more bumpy and the steering wheel is manipulated easier with bumps on the road.

Then again I've never owned a truck so maybe I'm just paranoid...anything i should look for to figure if it is really not riding clean. Or do my after market modifications come with the territory? thoughts?

    What was your previous tire?
That BFG KO2 is Load Range E, and heavy.

    Ahh Quick thinking.

It was a firestone le2. Felt like my lexus on the highway.

And come to think of it. When I left the dealer after the level kit, I didn't feel a ride difference. It wasn't until til the tires went on that I felt it

Firestone Destination LE2 is one of the most quiet and lightest highway tires on the market, you went to the opposite spectrum...
These trucks are happiest with non-LT or LRC load range tires.

P285/70R17 or 285/70R17 would be a better compromise for you if you want that size with minimal weight.

Makes sense. None the less, I guess it's nothing to sweat? Just a heavier ride it sounds like...

If they did an alignment after the lift you should be ok. You don't need to realign for tires.

Maybe you could ask them to just check the alignment and see what it's at. I think dealers do that for free.

    Sounds pretty normal.

Once you change from OEM suspension and OEM tires you also lose OEM ride.

If that isn't what you want then keep it stock and stay away from lifts and E rates tires.

you can do a lift and bigger tires, however when it comes to lifts.. you get what you pay for. Quality lift quality ride. Personally I'm going with icon or Fox stage 5 compression adjust and 275/70/17s, e load but a bit lighter that 285s. it's gonna be around 5k or so

That is quite a jump from a spacer lift, bilstien or old man emu is probably a little more reasonable for a person who wants a lifted truck that rides better than spacers

But i can imagine you use your truck for more than just driving it on a paved road so I guess that's a different side to it

I was also worried about ruining the smooth ride of a new vehicle. So I just dropped $5k for the 3" icon with proComp tires and wheels. Get it back next week. They told me to stay away from spacers. But they also wanted my coin.
