Level question

May be a stupid question but how do you tell if your taco is level, front to back?

Is it measurement ground to wheel well opening, front to back?

Or as simple as putting a level on your truck bed side caps?

 

Wheel hub to fender is the traditional way.

 

A 4' level under the door sills works, assuming it's on a level surface.

Measuring center of hub vertically to fender opening is common and eliminates variance of surface parked on.

But since leveling is a looks thing, if you can't tell by looking, does it matter? Or are your peeps gonna check it?

 

I measure center of the fender to the ground personally.

In mm, because fractions are stupid.

 

Either there will be spacers, or new coilovers in the front.

 

Why level the truck you going to ever do truck stuff with it?

 

I bought truck with 20K supposedly leveled. Nose looked too high to me. I wanted the so-called level on my truck adjusted, so to bring the nose stance down, I added a 1 inch block to the rear. Besides eyeballing, I measure from the ground to the bottom edge crack of the door handles. I’ve also measured from center of wheel hub to fender above. By adding the block, the truck now again has the correct rake and look.

 

cant you just stand back and look at it?
