@G-Force ,wondering if you'd had anymore settling and also was curious if you went with a spacer of any kind to fix the taco lean or did the billys basically take care of that too, or at least make it negligible?

Headstrong is $199 and free shipping, and a forum supporter. If you buy all 4 the price for just the front two drops to $180.

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/st...air)_-_24-263108_for_2016__Toyota_Tacoma.html

Why people buy shit at jet.com (which is owned by Walmart) or any other mega internet retailer when they could support a forum vendor for the same price or even less is beyond me.

Curious, what are your thoughts on the 5100's vs stock shocks?

i would just say they are definitely firmer than stock...but not harsh. The truck corners really well and haven't noticed any settling of the Bilsteins yet. I was going for more of the appearance factor to be honest. It's a great handling truck.

I agree with you that they are firmer. To me they make my Taco feel more like a truck should ride vs the stock shocks. I've notciced, depending on the bump, they can be a little harsher but not to the point where the ride is not enjoyable if that makes sense. I haven't tested them out off road but so far so good on paved roads and highway.

Damn, you are at 4th notch and nothing on the rear? I may have to rethink setting mine at the 2nd notch (.65) and nothing on the rear. Fuck! I had just sorted through all the bullshit to try and find some info and now yours pops up and looks about spot on.

I did mine on second to last notch and it's pretty much level.

Meaning .65 or 1.5? Last as in bottom or last as in top?

I've read every page and I'm still confused on which setting to use. I have my 5100's sitting in the backseat. Judging by the part numbers I believe I have the 2nd gen model. I currently have 265/75/16 AT tires and the current difference between front and back fenders is slightly over 1"

This is your problem, right there. They don't go in the backseat!

LOL.... seriously, there's so much info it's basically brain overload. Some guys are claiming 2nd notch gives over a inch of lift and sets it perfectly level and some guys are claiming they get only a half an inch of front lift on the highest setting. The body style and engine size / transmission / front end weight also play into it. Then you got guys who dilute a thread with pictures of a truck lifted with other shit, wheel spacers, and 35s; it's like - dude, can you refrain from posting your dick pics in every fucking thread, you're contaminating the research!!

At this point, I've read probably all the threads you have, asked questions, emailed vendors (no response from Toytec, so fuck them, no business from me; positive response from Headstrong so I ordered from them - but even they were vague with the response about what setting to use).

In the end, it has to be personal trial and error. I'm still torn between .65 and 1.1 (2nd and 3rd notch on 3rd gen 5100s) to achieve an approximate level without going into Bro lean if I have a Kleenex box in the bed. I think the .65 will be the safest bet for my 4cyl 4WD AC with 265/75 16 on it,and if I had 2nd gen 5100s I'd likely go with .85. I have a lifetime alignment ($200 at Firestone, nationwide) so I can play around with the settings if I need to, or opt for a totally different lift and at least have one less thing to deal with when I do that.

I agree with everything you said lol. I was completely set on the .85 setting and then these last couple pages have me second guessing myself! I'll probably go with the .85 and see how she looks. Lol on the backseat part...just waiting on time off work :)
