Want to put a leveling kit on my Taco. Any suggestions on a good kit? Don't do any serious off road except an occasional trip to the ranch...just like the look. Read some posts that suggested that kit should have a differential drop kit to save your CV joints. Comments suggestions?

    Thanks

I'm very happy with my setup. Bought this kit: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/BK0510--Bilstein-Adjustable-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks_p_132.html

With the single 1.5" AAL, front shocks set at 0 and assembled, and no diff drop. You do not need a diff drop even if you order this with the shocks set at .85 for 2.5" lift. Truck looks, rides, and handles great. I did remove the front sway bar. Body roll is pretty much unnoticeable running highway speeds in the curves. I'm sitting level due to my canopy. Still need to take some better pics but here is before and after. I'm running 265/70R17 BFG KO2's.

The nice thing with this setup is I did not need upper control arms. I was able to get 2.0*/2.2* caster, which isn't ideal(2.5*+ would be better) but the drive-ability at highway speeds is very good. In fact with the firmer suspension it handles better on the highway here where the wind constantly blows.

The only issue you may have is the needle bearing in the driver side of the front differential. It's a relatively easy fix with the East Coast Gear Supply bushing.

Thanks for the info.....I was looking at doing the same tires or the Nitto Grappler G2's. Your truck looks great!

You're fortunate to get that much caster with stock A arms. Even with "only" 2" of lift.

It's officially only 1.6", I think it's a touch less being a double cab. Remember the stock TRD Pro sits about 1.75" higher in the front the other trims.

I'll be getting a set of UCA's when I get my bumper since I'll be bumped the 5100's to the 2nd notch(.85"). If experiences from others are similar to mine I'll be right at 2" of lift with the bumper and definitely will need UCA's.
