So I’m planning to get new more aggressive off-road tires for my 2018 tacoma, and I was thinking about putting a 2” rear 3” front leveling kit and 1.5” spacers. Is this a good idea, and if so what size tires and brands are recommended?

Note: I’m not going to be doing any off-roading and I have the budget of a high schooler who works part time delivery

Not something we would recommend. If you do a spacer lift, and don't want to run into any issues.... you will still need an aftermarket UCA and bump stop spacers.

Be prepared to have a shitty ride when you go with spacers. My 2012 long bed had a spacer lift on it when I bought it.
Once I took it off and installed my Fox's my ride went from super shitty to super plush. As soon as I pulled out of the parking
lot after my buddy installed the lift I knew I made the right decision. :burnrubber:

Just say No to shitty spacer lifts. :quickdraw:

Ride quality will plummet. I had spacer for a few years (Had a budget) and couldn't take it anymore, and swapped them out. I'd wait until you can afford something better.

Maybe go with a little bit less of a lift. I did Bilstein 5100s in the front set at 1.55” and a .5” spacer in the back. Altogether including an alignment afterwards this was about $400. Ride quality didn’t suffer at all. The 5100s are adjustable so you could even turn into a 2 inch front 1 inch back lift but then you might start to see ride quality going down and maybe alignment issues. No wheel spacers needed and I was able to fit a 32 inch tire. tire could probably be even a little bigger.
