    Work in progress
I have been reading around for a few days, and I haven't found the perfect answer I want. First off, I have a double cab TRD off road with the 16 inch off road rims. I plan to stay stock with my rims, don't want to drop the money on aftermarket wheels. I do a lot of towing, 99% of the time its my bass boat. A good 75% of my highway miles are with a boat behind me. I only do moderate wheeling. No rock crawling, I just like to take the dirt road and hit some mud every once and a while. Mosty trails etc. So my options are…

-blisten 5100s- everybody knows what these are
    -3" ready lift- http://www.readylift.com/products/toyota/toyota-tacoma-prerunner/leveling-kits/toyota-tacoma-2005-2013-2wd-4wd-6-lug-3-0/toyota-tacoma-2005-up-prerunner-kit-toyota-tacoma-prerunner-kit.h™l
    -2.25" ready lift - http://www.readylift.com/products/toyota/toyota-tacoma-prerunner/leveling-kits/toyota-tacoma-2005-2013-4wd-2wd-prerunner-2-25/tacoma-front-leveling-suspension-strut-extension-66-5055.html

Any other opinions or options for a leveling kit let me know. Next off I want to run 33" tires (285/75/16). But I don't know how many people do this. From what I read, I should be able to do it with the level kit and 1.25" spacers? Ready lift website says I can fit 33" with minor trimming on either or their block lifts I have posted above. My other options for tire size are the 265/75/16, or 285/70/16. I am on a tight budget, I plan on doing anything other than a leveling kit, spacers if I need them, and maybe a leaf or air bags eventually in the back. My tires are bald, so its time for new ones anyway. Please give any input you have, or point me in the direction of other threads that might answer my questions that I may have missed! thanks!

Or if you're just going to level your truck you'd probably be better off with 265's

I put the 3" ready lift in and I like it, I don't off road much, but I am running 265/70/17's I think 33's would be pushing it, but my is a dblc sport too not sure if that would make much difference and also I'm running aftermarket wheels

285's on stock wheels, you might have some rubbing issues on your UCA

I put some 285/75-16's and bought new wheels with zero offset to keep tires from rubbing. I still have a rubbing issue on the mud flap but some minor trimming will take care of it.
