Depends on what you are planning to use it for.

I did a whole suspension lift kit since I take mine off-roading a lot. It sits leveled and I am running 33s with no rubbing (did some trimming, but you can’t even tell since my shop painted the plates/weld).

Go with a set coilovers. Bilstein Fox Icon King are on the top end of the spectrum. Level or lift it with a good ride on and off-road. Bilstein provides a good upgraded shock for leveling at a decent price.

First of all, a leveling kit is basically just a lift for the front end. Some of them may include a small block for the rear, but most just eliminate the nose-down look. And since a MUCH larger tire will fit on the rear just fine with the rear's stock suspension, a front leveling kit will work just fine for your purpose. A 1" spacer will gain you 2" of lift in the front. Rough Country makes one and I have it on my truck. It fits on TOP of the strut assembly so no disassembly of the strut is required. My TRD OffRoad rides exactly like it did before I installed the spacer since it is still on stock spring and shocks. Just sits 2" higher. If you do not do any serious off-roading this setup will do exactly what you desire. It will allow 32" tires as it sits, and with some 1.25" wheel spacers many on here have reported it will clear 33s. Don't let the bashers on here put down the front top plate spacers. They work great and do exactly what they're designed to do. Be sure to take pics of your truck after you install whatever you decide.

If you ever plan to use your truck as a truck (loading or towing) don't level it, you'll ride around nose high looking silly. There is a reason trucks have, and will always have, rake.

I went with the Rough Country spacer in front and a 1.5" spacer in the back to keep the rake. I haul and tow with my truck as well, and hate the bro lean...

Do it right the 1st time. Lift with some nice coil overs and springs. You will not regret it. Good luck and Welcome.

How is your ride quality and overall opinion of the rough country spacer ? I am looking at ordering one to level out my tacoma this week or next...... I know there are haters and those without problems just wondering what your experience is with them? I dont do a ton of offroading and when i do its only to go hunting...

I just ordered Bilstein 6112 for the front and 5160's for the rear with intentions of not only leveling but also increase the performance of the suspension as well. The 6112's have multiple settings, but I plan on using the one that provides roughly 1.1" of lift.

It rides and handles great. I don't really notice any difference in the ride and feel from the all stock setup EXCEPT it rides a little higher. You notice when you go to get in it sits higher, obviously, too. I am VERY happy with this setup. You sound like me as far as the off-roading goes. I may go down an old field road or something to get to a hunting spot, but I'm not out off-roading it just for kicks. And living in So. IL I for sure don't have the terrain like those folks out west have to take my truck 'trail riding'. And yes, I get a kick out of those 'spacer haters'. Just tell them to send you their credit card info and we'll all get whatever suspension setup they suggest. That usually shuts them up...
