I have an 05 4dr PreRunner. I know I want to lift it, however, I am unsure if I should do a front leveling kit and rear bushings, or a full suspension lift.

Just for looks? What do you intend to do with your lifted or leveled truck? How high? Need to know reasons for wanting to make the change...

I like the look of the lifted trucks.

Are you adding larger wheels and tires or just going up one size in your tires. If so the level kit is great for a minor tire change while a full lift would be needed for anything bigger. You also mention you like the look of lifted trucks so it seems that full suspension would be the obvious choice here.

Full suspension is always best. It really comes down to how much can you afford and how crappy do you want your ride to be?

What about ride. The 2005 came with the Bilstein shocks, By doing the suspension kit, would I have the same nice ride?

With lift springs and up graded shocks you would have a better ride. Most would say.. Any spacer is going decrease travel and increase stiffness

But that might not matter to you if you just want it to look better driving down the smooth road..

My plan afterwards is to go to probably a 33x11.50 tire and set of rims. I am currently running P265 size tires on stock rims.

Then I believe you will need a full 3 inch lift.

Yeah do some research in the ome thread there's 370 something pages of people such as myself that did a suspension lift. Fyi 2000$ + is the likely cost

Thanks Dilleytech - I have been researching this Since the end of last year when I got the truck. I was quoted $ 1000 installed Procomp 3" suspension lift from Tuffy Automotive in Land O lakes Florida within the last two months. Or I could buy the kit myself from them for 750.00 and install it. I am not sure I want to tackle the install myself. Although I have friends who have done them on their trucks. I would feel more comfortable knowing I have a warranty on that part of it also.

I'd feel more comfortable with you getting a quality kit like OME over pro-crap

Get this kit if you are going for cheap quality. I have this kit with the 887 coils. About 3" of lift, very comfortable ride, I love it. Allowed me to fit 285s with minimal trimming. Lots of good reports on this kit and headstrong is great to order from. It's the top kit...

Site description says: "For additional 3/4″-7/8″ approx lift. Installs on top of the upper strut plate, doesn’t effect ride. Kit includes two machined aluminum spacers and an extended stud kit."

I'm doing an OME kit with full Dakar rear leaf springs and 887 coils up front and upgraded Upper Control Arms. Ordered from Headstrong Offroad. Having it installed Friday. :)
