That's funny, I've always thought they ride pretty good. Rangers on the other hand are pretty harsh IMO, especially over bumps. They don't compare to the way some of the full size trucks ride, like the F150. But then again, you pay more for them so they better ride good.

I drove a newer 4Runner awhile ago, and it did ride better than my Tacoma.

I bet the runner has a tad more weight over that rear axle

Definitely, along with the body being one piece, rather than a cab and bed make it feel a bit more solid.

I think you are getting a bit paranoid over ride being impacted by a level. It will change but I doubt the ride will become unbearable.

You can do Bilstiens or spacers. Bilstien may not actually level you out though. You might have to chose between slight rake down or up. So you may need to pop in a small spacer or just go with a spacer lift.

i used a front spacer and a rear add a leaf, and my ride quality really didn't change whatsoever...maybe ill upgrade one day, but i don't do any hardcore off-roading either...seemed to be a waste of money that i could just put towards more ammo that i can shoot out in the desert, where my truck will see the most "off-road" time.

Find a 16+ suspension someone is selling. Got mine for 100. Adds one inch and I bought a .5 inch spacer for a total of 2 inch. Rides fine. I have an aal for the rear once I get a chance

Ok, so I'm back on this again.. Never did anything with my truck.. Still stock, but it's almost time for new tires.. I've been wanting new wheels.. I'm thinking about going with 18" BFD's and I guess maybe now is the time to lift it a little.

    I don't want a ton of lift... Maybe 2"?

So, I'm thinking 5100s set at 2.5" and wheelers 1.5" 3-leaf progressive AAL..

Anyone have any opinions on this setup?
