Hey Tacomas! I'm interested in getting 3"front and 2" rear level kit, I have had suspension lifts before with other vehicles, I just want the look for a good price. My question is will a leveling kit mess up the angle of the pinion gear and ultimately mess up the differential? Vehicle warranties won't cover such Things!

I will had the an older Fat Bob's kit for on my 5 lug tacoma for a very long time. The truck had about 80k or 90k miles when I installed it. I now have over 190k and the ball joints are still tight. My control arm bushings are tired and because of that I'm getting new LCA'S put on some time this weekend. Never had any issues on the truck caused by the kit.

The lift will change drive line angles but it should be within the allowable spec. The local dealerships sell a lift and level kit so I would assume everything should be okay. I think they were selling a Ready lift SST kit.

Just got my first Tacoma, it is a 2013 double cab TRD Sport.

I have a couple questions about the front 2.5" leveling kit. I haven't been able to clarify if the 2.5" will actually level it out, or if it will stand higher than the back. I have heard both.

    Suggestions?

Its hard to say. In my case it did level my truck using a 2.75 spacer in addition to a short add-a-leaf. Again my truck is a 5 lug so it's a bit different than a 4x4 or prerunner.
My local Toyota sells the Ready Lift which is claimed to be a 2.75 front spacer but it also comes with an add-a-leaf.

Your right by doing your research. Your probably hurting your tailbone more than the truck by installing spacers.

I'm getting this done Wednesday at Fat Bobs, they suggested the 2.5" for just the front and insisted it would keep the same ride/handling. Comparing to what you have 2.7taco, that's a .25" difference with a leaf, so I'm assuming it will level out...? If not, I might just add a leaf to make up for it.
