    What’s up Taco world !!!
I’m thinking to go and do 2’ or 2.5’ inch leveling kit in the front and 1’ inch int the rear of my Taco . Can you guys give me some advice what brands should I look for. Do I need to get as well a differential drop kit as well , so I won’t have any issues with the trucks behavior on the road , no vibrations and no sagging in the rear ?

Depends on what you plan on doing.. light offroading? Heavy offroading? Parking lot pimping?

I just did bilstein 5100 shocks on the front. They are adjustable and really made a difference. You could always just do spacers on the front of back but that is not really the best route in general.

If I go with the shocks only , do I need to do a differential kit to lowered to factory angel ?

for the rear you don't want to go more than 1" with the stock shocks. If you do they will be close to fully extended and you will be forced to buy longer after market shocks.

The Front is a different story. with the front strut "assembly" fully compressed/bottomed out to the bump stop, you have Exactly 2.5 inches of extra shock travel. 2" would be the max I would go. You would have 1/2" of rear rake or less so pretty much level. If a leaf from a tree falls in the bed you will have bro lean ;). If you park on any uneven pavement or in a driveway it will have mega bro-lean. If that doesn't bother you than go for it.

If you still want to haul things in the bed they have a 3/4 inch spacer that gives you 1.5" of front lift. You will need a cutoff wheel to cut the studs down just a little.

    Just something to think about.

I have heard anything over 2" needs an upper control arm replacement. Also some with stock control arms at 2" are reporting that the truck wanders and cant keep a steady straight line.

I'm running 1.5 inch lift in the front and 1" in the rear. Zero problems and it cost about 115.00 on Amazon. I did the labor myself. You will need an alignment bringing the cost to about 200.00

Looks like you have 265/70/17's... I would do a 1.5/1 or a 2/1 lift max. Any higher and it will look silly.

Plenty of pictures around for a 2/1 lift

Thanks for the info bro. I was watching videos and reading a lot of reviews in the last couple of hours and most people do the shock lift with the Bilstein 5100 (they go to 2 inch setting on the shock with stock spring) and 1’ inch in the back . They were saying that the shock lift is 10 times better than the spacer over the stock shock . Most of the time I haul my dirt bike and tools and gear , don’t go off-road or stuff like that . So I was thinking about the Belatein 5100 adjustable shock ( in this case people say I don’t need the differential leveling kit as well )
I ride dirt bikes , new in to the pick up lol
I’ll talk with my buddy , he owns a car shop and he recently lift a FJ Cruiser with those shocks and I’ll ask him .
What do you think about the shock lift ?
Better than spacer over the stock shock ?
