Has anyone had experience leveling their truck using bilstein 5100 series shocks. I want to level mine. Was looking at spacers but then see a lot of people using these shocks and thought about looking into them. Im not looking to add lift.

    Thanks in advance

If your going to level the truck your going to add lift in the front. You can use the 5100's to level the front I believe it takes about 2" of lift in the front. If your using the stock coils, which is fine, I'd maybe try the struts on the .85 or 1.75 setting. It may give you a stiffer ride. Optimally leaving the 5100's on "0" and using either the shorter Eibach coils, 1.6" of lift but they're rated for 620 pounds and will also be stiff, or Old Man Emu coils. Letting the coils give you the lift instead of the struts will give you a better ride and work better all around. I believe OME 884 coils may give you what you want. You can contact a vendor like @HeadStrong Off-Road and they can direct you toward the correct coil sellection you can also have them preassemble them so all you have to do is remove the stock ones and pop in the new ones. I'm no expert on any of this stuff but I hope this helps a little.

If you have the OEM 3 leaf pack, set at .85, but if you have the TSB OEM 4 leaf springs set them at 1.75 for level look.

I just did mine last week.. 5100 in the front is at the 2nd notch from the top on the 3rd gen 5100.

Rear is 5100 w/ toytec rear block 1.5”.

    Hope this helps

I will be selling my pro suspension with 10k miles on it in about a month. It’s approx 1 7/8” lift in the front. I’m not sure if you want to go used or not, just throwing it out there.

Isn’t preloading the stock coils a bad idea?

I know this is an old post but it’s been over a year since you did this set up. Have you had any issues? Any vibrations from the rear block?

Setup works flawless, my dad owns the truck now but I am in it quite a bit. I did end up adding the carrier bearing spacer soon after due to a vibe when I’d brake.
It rides noticeably softer than my OME medium kit on my dclb 2nd gen sport.

Thanks for the feedback! Would you happen to know where you got that carrier bearing spacer? I’d like to buy one in case I get that vibe after I do this same install. Thanks!

    Yep, sure thing man!

It’s just the Old Man Emu one. Most places sell it. Google search it and it’ll pop up.
