Marlin 30-30. Got the gun from my wife a few years ago for Christmas. Completely shocked me considering my wife hates guns...although she is a pretty good shot with the 6 inch 357. :fenforcer:

I have 12 or 13 lever actions - all various calibers and makes. I hunt deer with the 30/30 Marlin and hogs with the 44 Marlin. Hunt small game with one of my .22 levers and varmits with my 38/.357 lever Puma. All are fine guns!!

For all y'all that said Marlin, get em' while you can, and if you have one hold on to it. I was just reading that Marlin will be closing it's plant in 2011 or 2012, don't know if they'll keep making their guns somewhere else or not.

Me personally, I've got a 9422, but I've always like the Savage and would really like to have one some day.

Damn Straight! I have my grandpaws that he put a scope on in the early fifities. It was sighted in once and still is dead on. I also have another open sighted one as well that was a good friend of the family's.

We have a Marlin .357 as well. Sweet gun to shoot as well.

The Savage Model 99 in a .308 variety is also in the safe.

But my most favorite lever gun that I have as of now is.....

My Winchester Model 71 in .348 WCF

I actually have two favorite leverguns. My grandfathers Winchester model 94 in 30-30 which was my first deer rifle and a Marlin model 336 in .35 Remington. Both are nice shooters.

just bought my first lever gun the other day in 45-70 Govt. i haven't had a chance to shoot it yet (damn 14 day wait in CT) but i was wondering if anyone has any experience with Buffalo Bore vs. Hornady LEVEReveolution vs. anything else besides hand loads (i dont have the equipment) for ammunition. i will be using it for whitetail deer this fall.
