Seems like it might be a cool Trail. I would hesitate to ever go there because it seems like there's always a bunch of assholes videotaping stuff but no one is ever spotting.

It's definitely a fun trail and recommend it to everyone. I don't really let what other people do impact my personal enjoyment. The worst is when it's busy, so try to pick a quiet day

It has looked interesting in some videos I have seen.

I just wonder why so many people are standing around and videotaping and nobody is spotting. Is the driver by themselves and the people videotaping are just random douchebags? Or, are the people videotaping with the person driving, but none of them are spotting for some reason?

For the most part, I don't give a fuck what other people do. I'm just trying to understand why I see these types of videos from there.

To give some context, the adult driving the Lexus refuses to listen to any of the spotters. He doesn't give up and attempted everything no matter the damage it would do to his vehicle or the trail. 11 of us were trying to give him all the information he needed prior to the recording starting which was ignored.

If someone doesn't want a spot or refuses to listen, what can ya do? In my opinion, the Lexus had no business being on the obstacle to begin with. Had bald street tires in a muddy/icy Cleghorn. I'm not his dad and have no control over what anyone else does, so I wanted to record the ridiculousness that was happening to share some laughs and cringe sounds of body panels being ripped apart. Hope this clears some of it up for ya

    That makes sense.

Yeah, the guy obviously could have used a better approach angle. I'm surprised the bumper cover was still attached by the time he got up.

Are there bypasses to obstacles like that out there?

I guess I may have dated myself a bit with that term.

Oh yeah, the obstacles are all completely optional! The offshoots are very short and meet back up with the service road very quickly, so if part of your group wants to do the obstacles you can meet up just around a corner usually. It has a really nice service road that traverses the trail with plenty of spots to let other pass. The service road can be done with pretty much any vehicle. I do recommend having some good winter tires this time of year. In 2019, the entire trail was covered in snow/ice making it extremely slippery and kinda dangerous. Also, after you finish this trail, you can drive a couple miles down the road and hit Pilot Rock!

I also was surprised that the front and back bumpers made it this entire trail. He was abusing the hell out of it, definitely not how I would treat my own vehicles.

    Cheers!
