The stock Tacoma one works, but there's no actual need to remove the clock spring when swapping wheels. The Lexus wheel has the correct plugs to go straight into ours.

I just got curious and wanted to look inside mine and see how it worked. Ended up snapping the little plastic nubs inside that follow the wheel position sensor and unraveled/put a kink in the spiral cable. I actually had to reset the VSC to get rid of the light on my dash. All it takes is a paper clip if you ever need to do it. I sure felt stupid after that one.

Ended up having to buy a replacement clock spring from eBay. It was under $20 shipped, so no great loss. Don't be like me haha

That was the es350 wheel I didn't end up using. I haven't sold it yet if you were interested.

I'm looking into the same set up as yours for my 2010 Tacoma. Do you remember the parts that you bought? Did you get the airbag pad and wheel separately? What about your cruise control? Are the controls part of the wheel or is that a separate part?
