Just read through your whole build - awesome work man!

My 04 is getting ready to go under the knife for a 4x4 swap - I've seen and heard of guys swapping the valve bodies but I'm going to be swapping my output shaft and tailhousing.

    Killer build though!

Best of luck with the swap, dude! Let me know how it goes, always love hearing about other PreRunners getting converted to 4wd!

Thank you! I've got a thread going, should be getting ready to start this in the next month. I've got 99.9% of everything I need. If I have any questions I know who to ask!

Recently did my prerunner 03 4x4 conversion. Nice to see others do their conversions. Good luck

Congrats on your accomplishment. I just did my first purchase for a tran with the trans case which cost me 1,500.00. I can’t wait to get all these parts I need.

Just as a quick check-in. Been getting in the swing of my new job now that I've graduated college, plus I've recently added another member to my family of vehicles, and that's taken some of my attention (pic related). Hoping to snag a fresh steering rack soon, since the current one's starting to get pretty worn with 210,000 miles on it.

Been slow lately while I've been settling into my new job. At the very least, I got my fresh steering rack all wrapped up. New OEM rack and the steering feels so much better just driving it from the alignment shop to work and back home today.

Now with that out of the way I can justify a new set of skid plates

    Modded the garage this time:
Built a hoist for my camper so I can pull it off by myself whenever I need to. Pretty simple setup and I might replace the cinch straps with a proper pulley system at some point, but for now I’m keeping it pretty basic.

Gonna test it out later this week since I’m hauling the R3 down to Phoenix to ride with some buddies.

Updates on the truck have been slow while I’ve been settling into my job for the past year, but I’ve got some fresh build parts in the works for next month, so stay tuned

    Camper hoist: successful

definitely not fast or easy though. Will definitely be doing a second iteration of this using pulleys to make things a bit easier on myself

sweet! I been wanting to do something like thise for my RTT. I was looking at this one pulley system thing but to me it seem to complicated for set up although im pretty sure it works great. This here is simple and does the job AND im pretty sure didnt cost much at all. Good stuff

All said and done it was about 50 bucks. Took me about an hour to take the camper off and set it down on the floor, but being able to take it off by myself opens up a lot of opportunity to use the bed whenever I need to!

This is awesome. I've been looking for a solution to make topper removal easier. I think you nailed it
