License Plate Relocation

I just woulda screwed it into the bumper like i have on my 2000, but you do you

 

I don't want to just screw it into the bumper because it's just like mutilation and also because I am putting a lightbar in the lower grille. The license plate would block a good part of light output

 

Its a badass idea and it looks great. Just don't snag it offroad or on a snow pile lol

 

Haha, yep, it'd be better up higher... Or if I just didn't have a stupid front plate

 

In TEXAS were required to have one, mine got ripped off on some trail somewhere so Ive been cruisin with out one

I mounted mine down lower no holes drilled, and even though it looks like it, its no lower than the factory sheet metal pan. This would not however work if truck was used for serious off road, or slamming into deep snow. I hate front plates.

 

Very nice! I'd do this but like you said, I hit some snow banks and such.

 

If I have a Dee Zee license plate mount could I use that instead? I got one with my bull bar but never needed it.

Hmm. Idk, that mount looks weird, the license plate goes on the two arms I'm guessing. Might be able to use it if you extend it a little maybe? Might not be worth it

Thanks! I have to make another one soon, but instead of a vice, I plan to use one of those metal bending machines for a more precision bend. My cousin's shop has one, just an idea if you know anyone
