    Hey all,

I have a very small dent just above the front license plate on my truck, which is currently mounted in the pre drilled holes by the dealer.

I was gonna move the front plate up a bit to cover the dent and just redrill two holes, since theres two holes in there anyway from the dealer.

Is there any downside to moving the screws out of the prefabbed/reinforced spot? As long as i use the proper screws it shouldn't put any unnecessary extra tension on the bumper correct?

they're just screws into plastic, it's not like they're holding a heavy load or anything. You'll be fine, the only downside as mentioned above if you'll have 2 extra holes

What about just using the bottom mounting holes of your license plate, instead of the top ones? Maybe you can find a plate holder to stiffen it up a bit?

Thought about using the lower plate holes and sliding the plate up that way but it looks kinda silly. Plate runs up pretty high

4 holes isnt much different than 2 for me. If i ever dont need a front plate ill have them all filled/repaired. I dont see CT dropping the front plate rule anytime soon though
