LifeTime LED Headlights??

Can't believe i haven't seen anything about these posted here yet. Anyone going to get a set? I think im going to wait to see some reviews...but these do look promising. $150/pair seems a little steep though. Release is in December sometime.

I have never heard of LEDS in headlights..

 

Thats interesting and wonder how the light put is. Anyone try something like this yet?

 

Some cars/motorcycles have LED headlights.

I don't see how it can outperform a retrofit. Just did my FX-R retrofit for $250 and a few hours of time. $150 for bulbs seems pointless

 

You are taking a LED bulb and putting it in a housing designed for a Halogen bulb. Results will not be favorable. Now if the bulb was going in a housing designed for that specific bulb then it would be a nice upgrade but it would not be cheap by any means.

 

For Lifetime bulbs that's a hell of a lot better than Halogen, price wise.

 

Depends how you look at it, my friend has a 1995 f150 on original headlights lol. LEDs still fail, just less likely

 

I've just seen too many people/posts of halogens out. Everyday there's at least 3 cars I see with a light out.

 

I'd be interested in throwing a set of these IN my retrofit....

 

I sell led headlights now. They are 140 a set plus shipping. The output is great and is definitely brighter than stock, but not quite as bright as hid. Some of the big pluses are instant on. No waiting for bulb to heat up and get bright. Another big plus is the focus. Hids scatter light and arent focused as the led headlights focus and there is not extra bleeding on the sides that normally blind people going down the road.

 

When my HIDs die I might be up for a set of these. That lifetime warranty is assuring.

 

What are these actually designed to be in, reflector or projector?

 

They are designed to be used in stock headlights. I asked the company about using them in a retrofit instead of HIDs yesterday. Hope to hear back soon.

No way the tiny fan in the bulb base is gonna last 30,000 hrs.

 

One of the tidewater area members is going to check them out in person tomorrow.

 

Good thing they have the lifetime warranty then.

 

i really doubt they'd last the life of a vehicle.. Last a while yes, but not that long
