some of this, a little of that
Why, if it fails they will replace it. There is just the inconvenience of the light being out until it arrives.

Exactly. I dont wanna buy something that i have to keep sending back, that kinda defeats the purpose of buying it.

Throw and color don't do much for me if I'm running one eyed for 2 weeks, especially if the new replacements are no better built.

$150 for bulbs and there is no progress on the quality control makes me wary, glad so far the company is still in business and shipping replacement units, but that's only as good as that availability lasts and the new unit is the same questionable crap as the broken unit it's replacing.. If they're selling such low quality products then that warranty exchange isn't going to keep the business afloat or that product line continuing forward.

I ALMOST bit on these, glad I didn't. Halogens aren't great, but I've been served really well by Sylvania's upgraded halogens at 1/3 the price and have had no issues at all with them on any of my cars.

did last at all. right of the box it flickered and then quit working. 5-10 mins

i called them this morning. 2 min phone call and another one is being sent to me. they send a label and i send the broken one back.

as far as the company staying afloat im hoping that the profit on these is so sky high that they can offer that warranty. if not, i agree they wont last very long. for $150 i figured id take the chance.

drove tonight for the first time and even with only one headlight and the fogs it was very bright and clean looking. ill be extremely happy if the new headlight works and they stay working

For sure. Just curious why they fail out of the box brand new. They have gotta be tested before they are packaged, I'd hope anyway. Just worries me the product is breaking on the shelf or in shipping. Doesn't lend itself to genuine durability or reliability.

How many miles/months on the good bulb you have?

Silverstar Ultra I think. I've used Silverstar since 2001 or so in all my vehicles and headlights/fog lights.

Think ill have to go the silver star route then. Its too bad about the LED. I think we are close but these obviously need a couple more years to work out the reliability issues.

I'd love brighter, but not at the cost of durability. My last truck had Silverstars for 4 years and they still worked when I sold it. Never had to replace one myself, though some people say they only last 1-2 years. Hasn't been my experience though, but I am careful not to touch the bulb itself when I install them. I can see more than the OEM halogens, and I like their color temperature better. I get flashed by other drivers even with aligned headlights, so I guess they are bright enough.

I'm down, I have HID high/low/fogs on all my vehicles and have to swap em out as I always run with lights on while driving for safety as I drive 40-50k miles a year and almost always in the dark.

I have loved my Lifetime LEDs and I also bought a set for my buddy in H4 for his Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on 35 BFGs KM2s, lifted and rides rough. All the shaking and stuff and both sets work flawless still.

I actually want to swap my HID fogs out for the 35w High Power LED H11s, and the 70w H4s, so group buy would be awesome

Installed my Lifetimes yesterday. Pics aren't the greatest, as we all know how difficult it is to translate actual head lights through pics & the web. But, you get a decent idea. I'll say this, they are quite brite in daylight hours & VERY bright at night. Drove a couple of miles with my other half in front of me & she said they looked very clean & didn't distract her. She drives a Ram 1500, so lower cars might get an eye full, hehe...Sylvannia halogens on the left(passenger) & Lifetimes on the right.

while i didn't buy lifetime LED's i did buy a set that is constructed very similar to them. they look really great and once the aiming dilemma was sorted have proven to be a fairly good quality replacement over oem. however... they have only been subjected to summer conditions and the real test will be surviving a canadian winter without incident. i'll be reporting my findings be them positive or negative.
