Well lifetime led refused to give me a refund but I guess they got the hint after my leds failed 3 times and I complained that the recent failure caused me to fail inspection... they sent me the upgraded leds for free. Previously they had offered to send em for an additional 80 bucks or a new set if the same old style for free. They also usually ask me to return the old ones, this time they did not. These new ones don't even require a driver ballast thingie. Kinda excited to try em out

In case you think they got their shit together, they're in process of disappearing as one brand and starting as another.

    Because ghetto.

IMO, no. There is no LED bulb that can properly replicate a halogen light source. All will result in either poor lighting or some glare, or both.

I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you. They typically last about 6-8 months before they go out. I am pretty sure this is my 5th set that went out. I suggest you have a backup in case they do go out. Lifetime LED will not send you a new set until you send them your, which leaves you a couple weeks without bulbs.
I came up with a second set of lights to swap in for that time frame. I like the output of these headlights but the company is shit.

Also note I got these. Which I don't think are made by the same company. I only bought them since they had ALOT of very positive reviews. I'll let you all know when they burn out

they also have 17% of the reveiws that are critical of the product. Hopefully you have better luck with those, but the lifetime led ones blow.

Oh, yes. I am sure that there are plenty of brands out there that are better and more reliable but this thread is talking about the Lifetime LED so I assumed you were talking about Lifetime LED.

Yeah. Should've mentioned that again. I said it on the last page that I got another set from another company. This was just the only LED headlight thread I've happen to come across and wanted to share my experience.

Agreed. Which is why I added a halogen light source that is superior to LEDs. I've posted this in several threads to draw awareness to this bad practice and to draw awareness that there are halogen options that can out perform both HIDs and LEDs at a fraction of the cost.

    Recap and status:
Original set installed on 01/16/14 with a faulty driver which I received a replacement for around 01/22/14. That set stopped working properly around 12/16/14 and I received a replacement on 01/16/15, had to send out my old ones for a new set. Then one bulb from a the second set stopped working properly yesterday. I just sent LifetimeLED a message on their website to start a claim.

    12/07/15
    Reveived new style H4 bulbs

They will more then likely just tell you what they told me:

"The lights can be sent back for replacement with our new Gen2 style headlight. Fill out the return form and include it in the package with the lights.

    https://www.lifetimeledlights.com/sites/default/files/forms/lled_return_form.pdf

If the lights can not be sent back first then you can place an order on the website for a Gen2 set. When you receive and install them, send back the old light for a complete refund of the new order. Fill out the return form so we know what to refund."

@InTheRough Thanks for the heads up, I'll get one of these ready to send them. I just changed back to regular bulbs. When or if they send me a new set, I'll be putting it in my old beater hatchback since it is easier to change out the bulbs in it.
