So do these LED lights put out any heat whatsoever other than towards the heat sink in the rear? Wondering since that would be my driving factor towards buying these since I would still need heat to melt ice and snow off my headlights

I also just installed a set of Lifetime LED headlight bulbs in my Tacoma and love them. They are well worth the $150 price tag. uploadfromtaptalk1390179318310.jpg

I do when i run my stock lights at night. Apparently people don't realize that when my fog lights are on, my highbeems aren't. Its happened hundreds of times. I can't imagine what these LEDs would be like lol

The light scatter looks bad. Like dropping HIDs in stock housings. I've seen that done. Can't tell if they're as bad. How is the cutoff line?

Actually, the cutoff is really good. In my driveway, the cutoff line is almost identical to stock. When I had HIDs in stock housing in my previous truck, the cutoffs were terrible and light scattered everywhere. The light output with these LEDs is very even. You don't see like concentrated spot on the road like HIDs. When you take a pic directly into the light, all of them will look glaringly like that.

Looks like my fogs may just get some rest if the output is as good as it looks in the pics.

Just ordered a pair. I hate my stock headlights, so this will be a welcome addition. I will be doing a before and after video with range details and information on the installation.

    Installation tips:

    1. The metal flange part twists off so you can slide the rubber boot on there.
    2. Once the boot is on there, you really have to push down and twist to get the flange back in place (I cussed up a storm during this part). If I had to do it again, I "may" trim the boot a bit to make the install a bit easier.
    3. Remove battery on the driver side to have more room to work
    4. Unbolt the washer fluid on the passenger side and move it aside
    5. Getting the clip on is a bit challenging since the rubber boot is right there so fold the rubber boot back (and hold it) on top and bottom while you clip the bulb in the socket

I get flashed regularly with stock lights, even with the fogs off! Getting real old.

Really? I have never gotten flashed with the stock headlights. Once I started running Rigid Duallys Floods as my Fog lights I get flashed every once and a while.

I am not moving them...people need to get taller vehicles than me :D

Most of the people that flash lights at me are in compact or sub compact cars and my lights are right in their seats because their cars are too darn low. I don't plan on getting any aftermarket headlights/foglights the toyota lights seem plenty bright enough to me. :notsure:

I was just intrigued by the "lifetime" warrantee of the leds. I like things to be as hassle/maintenance free as possible, part of why i love toyota so much :D
